Even though it is not spring yet my clothing is already blooming with bright colors. I picked up this dress at Forever21 a few days ago and instantly fell in love, however every time I try on their dresses they are too short for comfort. If a slight wind ever picked up I would be in trouble! So to add length and wearability I put another skirt underneath it in a complementary color and viola! Problem solved. I loved the way the snakeskin clutch adds texture to the outfit in a neutral color as well as the shoes so that they don't interfere with the color palette. This outfit reminds me of the Mad Men TV series because it looks like something Betty Draper would have worn, with the high neckline and cinched waist, complete with a scarf and a vintage sweater clip to hold it securely around my shoulders. Its definitely got a 60's feel to it. The book Very Classy is undoubtedly the perfect reading material for this ensamble and I must say if you're interested in brushing up on your etiquette this book is the best way to do so, its funny and informative. The ring I'm wearing in this post is actually a clip on earring that I made into a ring, you can go to any thrift store or go through your moms old jewelry and use clip on earrings and make them into one of a kind rings! So stay tuned in I will have a DIY vintage jewelry post coming soon!
