Mommy Friendly Work Out Gear

I recently got a new Iphone 5 and of course my armband that I use to run did not accommodate it. That would have been too easy! So after getting on Amazon and looking for the cheapest armband with the best reviews,  I ended up buying this ionic one in purple. It works great for the price and at first I wasn't happy about the plastic covering that covers the face of your phone, because it can make it hard to switch songs in the middle of a run or answer a call. Until I was running with Bailey (my golden retriever) the other day and a lady turned on her sprinklers right as I went by soaking me and my armband with my few days old Iphone 5 in it! Luckily because of the plastic screen shield my phone was safe and sound. So I defiantly recommend it especially if you run in the rain during winter.

Cute sparkly Hello Kitty ear buds!

As I progressed in my pregnancy my back started to hurt durring runs and after. The heavier I get in the front the more it hurt. So again I turned to Amazon and found this! The Mini Cradle had great reviews and so I bought it to help with the pain. Now I cannot go on a run with out it I ordered a Small and am now at 25 weeks 140 pounds and still on the last (tightest) hook. Its so discrete you can also wear it under your clothes and maxi dresses for extra support even when you are not exercising! I love it!

Some cute minty Nike Free Runs. Even if they dont match your gear they are still so adorable!

My favorite thing to put on my face if I work out. Its basically a tinted moisturizer. I wear light medium. It evens out skin tone and moisturizes at the same time! It's not expensive at all and gives a healthy glow to the skin. This way I dont scare small children even though I'm just working out. :)

All of my shirts were getting too short due to my growing belly, so I ordered these off Forever 21 and OMG! They are the best for working out and also for just every day! They are long enough and still cute and flowy. I will be wearing these even after I'm not pregnant anymore!

A really cute lime color!

A cute team tank. I'm not even a Angels fan but I still bought this one and wear it with black workout capris and grey nikes.

I've also continued my yoga practice through out my pregnancy. This mat is off amazon but TJ Max has really cute ones for only 7-10 bucks! I love the ones with designs on them (it gives me something to focus on while planking besides my basketball tummy) :)

These cute yogi head bands are awesome! They are thick and hold back all the little stray hairs, while also looking cute!

Who says you can't TRY to look cute while exercising?

Baby B's Nursery

My little one sucking her thumb.

The crib I bought off Amazon as well as the baby bedding set. The night stand came from the thrift store and was $5. The lamp I was going to buy matched her set, but it was so expensive and not that cute. So I bought the white shade at WalMart. Then I got 3 yards of pink roses from the fabric section that matched the pink in her room and hot glued it around the top and base of the lamp shade. The base of the lamp was an old one I had from my last room that I got from Home Goods. When it was all done I liked it better than the one that matched the set and it was cheaper! The photo frame on the night stand with her sonogram picture in it is also from Hobby Lobby.

Found this at Babies R Us.

I was going to pass on the hanging hearts, but then I had this odd empty space and didn't have anything to fill it. So I ordered them and they fill the hole perfectly!

Found the picture above her book case at Hobby Lobby on clearance for 10 bucks!

My grandmothers old antique dresser and mirror received a fresh coat of paint to match the other furniture, and it now lives in Brooklyn's room. (this is before I put the knobs on)  Flowers and bowl from Hobby Lobby.

Her chandelier is waiting on my brother in law to put up.

Her chandelier medallion came from Amazon. I painted it to match her walls and hot glued rhinestones to it for added sparkle!

This dresser came from the thrift store and was 15 bucks! Its was just natural wood so I painted it white to match the other furniture, and then went to Hobby Lobby and picked out these new knobs. They were around 3 dollars a piece.

The 3D wall butterflies are from Target. They are $20 dollars for a pack.

I found this custom monogram print on etsy. It was $15. I then took a plain white frame and hot glued rhinestones all over it.

The letters are from Michael's. I painted them white and hot glued the ribbion to them to hang them.

The dresser came from the thrift store too. It was natural wood so I painted it white and then painted the hardware antique silver. The rug is from ebay and was $70.

This is Brooklyn's pin board. I bought this at Hobby Lobby for around $35. It came just like this. (thank god one thing I didn't have to paint!)

I hope you like it and maybe this can give you some ideas for your own nursery! My advice is to go to the thrift store and buy all of your furniture because it's cheap and you can always paint them to match your rooms theme no matter what color they are! You can at least save some money that way because Im not gonna lie her room was expensive! I wasn't expecting it to cost as much as it did. But I love the way it turned out and am very happy with it!

A Big Surprise!

Well it's been a while hasn't it? I have some exciting news to share! Im going to be a mommy for the first time to a beautiful baby girl! This experience has been surreal for me. The ups the downs and the unexpected anxiety that I might not be good at this? My older sister tells me thats normal but being completely responsible for another human life is well...terrifying! But Im finally ready! I must say that I didn't realize that getting everything you want for her nursery would be so EXPENSIVE! OMG I'm already a $1000 dollars in and a lot of other things to get! I had a really hard time deciding on what set to get her for her baby bedding and it stressed me out for weeks, but I finally decided on THIS one  Sweet JoJo Elizabeth pink grey and white damask, because the room is already a beautiful light grey and I'm not painting it again! Plus I loved this specific shade of pink the only difference in my nursery from this picture is my crib and furniture are white with crystal knobs.

And of course she needed a chandelier!!!

And all of the accessories!!!

This rug!

I've ordered it all and now I'm just waiting! I can't wait to get it all together because that will make one less thing to stress about! I will post pictures when its all done. As far as her name goes, I have went through so many! I liked Ashlynn and Madison but none really felt like they fit, and she is going to be stuck with this name for her whole life so, I should at least feel like it fits from the beginning! My family has a tradition to pass down each of the girls middle names so no matter what her middle name is Rene after my older sister. Unfortunately her first daughter got stuck with my middle name which is Lyn. Sorry Payten! So my sister and I came up with Brooklyn Rene, which incorporates both our middle names and that name is in the winners circle. Unless out of no where a new name comes along that I like better. We will see...

DIY Glam Box

So I was looking for things to organize with that I already had around the house. I found this box that was holding lipgloss, and thought I should throw this out it looks terrible. But it was such a sturdy thick made box that is small enough to put in drawers I thought there must be a way to make this pretty and usable.

Then I remembered I had this gorgeous wall paper I bought at a yard sale for 25 cents. So I decided to cover the box in it. I had been waiting to use it for something  because the colors are absolutely unbelievably pretty.

First lay the box on the paper and trace around it. This will give you the base for the inside of the box.

An up close shot of the print.

I then used Elmer's X-treme glue stick and glued the wall paper around the box.

The finished product looks like something you would buy at a store.

I love that it openly displays some of my jewelry on my dresser.

Hope you guys enjoyed! Have a great weekend!

What Im Loving Lately

Since I have my esthetician licence I have a card that allows me to go into beauty whole sale stores where most cosmetologists buy their color, scissors and things. These places also sell make up and that is where I discovered this line and these beauties you see here! They are only $10! Love them!

The red color is called Passion which is a crimson red that has a foil sheen to it. Its the perfect deep berry red for that trend right now. The nude pink is called faith and looks a lot like MACs Creme cup mixed with Snob. It's one of the best nude pinks I've ever found.

Here are the swatches for them

I took pictures of me wearing them. Here is Faith

And here I'm wearing Passion.
(Really trippy that you can tell that my eyes are two different colors in this picture!)

This is an antique charm bracelet I found in my grandmothers jewelry. It's sterling silver and each charm has an inscription on the back but I dont know what the initials are for or who they belong to. I'm still confused about what some of the charms symbolize, none the less I haven't taken it off since I found it I just love it so much!

OPI My Private Jet.
Oh this color is just so perfect! It looks black/grey but then in the light it has glitter in it, so beautiful!
I found out about this color when I read about it somewhere that Kim Kardashian wears it all the time and its her favorite nail polish. So I gave it a try and I'm so happy I did!

Sigma Flat Kabuki F80 foundation Brush with Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation.
If you want an airbrushed look to your foundation, you had better just spend the $18 for this brush. This brush is amazing and will change your life and I promise you will never regret it! You can buy it at Amazon HERE
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation in 320 Warm Golden. I will never go back to anything else foundation wise. Except when I want less make up I still use my trusty Bare Minerals!

These boots from Forever21
I love them and they go with everything from running errands to going to school.
They are flat and comfortable which makes it easy when I'm running late for class!
